I am a driven community and clinical dietitian, athlete, and lifelong learner. My goals as a nutrition professional are to help individuals and communities meet their health and nutrition objectives and to improve the nutrition status of patients through evidence-based, practical, and compassionate care. I seek continual learning in the areas of nutrition, public health, exercise, and science. I am energized by new opportunities to solve new challenges.

My research and career interests include the impact of environmental and nutrition interventions on food insecurity; implementation of food policy councils and community coaching; nutrition education; the importance of nutrition on all stages of life; sports nutrition and wellness; community development and rural health. My relevant skills include professional nutrition communication and research writing; research intervention implementation and project coordination; time management, attention to detail, collaboration; self-motivation, willingness to take on new tasks, and ability to learn quickly.

I married Bracton Eicher in May 2014 and we live in Berne, Indiana. In my free time, I love to cook, play piano, play volleyball and run, be outdoors, and spend time with family and friends. We also have a cat, Copper, who is about a year old.

    • Promote organization through social media and presentations at conferences and meetings; raised website traffic from 51 users in September 2012 to 1,439 users in December 2014
    • Manage online emergency food system database for Indiana
    • Mentor undergraduate students assigned to create IEFRN food demonstration videos for website
